It is always important to take a step back from our lives and realize what we are thankful for. It helps fill us with happiness and a sense of accomplishment. When we take note of what we are grateful for we shape the story of our life into a more positive one. With life being as busy as it is its important to have family conversations about what we are grateful for. It should be a regular question that is asked at the dinner table.

Instead of New Years resolutions I like to look at what I am thankful for in the past year. In this past year my work has filled me with such gratitude. I literally am able to be a part of someone changing their life for the better. The opportunity to be a part of that is something a bit surreal. I am forever grateful that my clients trust me and open up to me regarding their struggles and successes. I get to see their pride when they are able to get rid of negative friendships, go a day without a panic attack, or begin to succeed in school. When my clients end with me I know that they are leaving with a bag filled with tools for life and that they are able to handle obstacles without me. I’m lucky that in my work I can be a part of their growth. I am thankful for my work in 2018 and cant wait to see what happens in 2019.
